You do not need to use this if you are using MooLive.
MD5 and SHA1 hashes are a way to validate that a file you were expecting to receive is the one that actually arrived.
You can download a free tool here to verify the updates using the hashes on the update page.
Just open, or drag, the file you downloaded onto the validator. Then paste the hashes from the browse updates page into the two edit boxes. Make sure there are no spaces. If the messages say they are valid you know you have received the files without error.
