Facebook “Unnamed App” Hoax Leads to Rogue AV

There is a hoax going around on Facebook about a bad application called “Unnamed App.” This is leading people to Google for information on it which is turning up results for Rogue Anti-Virus. These Rogue Anti-Virus applications try to trick you into installing them by claiming your computer is infected with a variety of malware.

Haiti Earthquake Malware

Hot on the heels of the earthquake in Haiti the rogue AV people have once again poisoned Google search. If you are searching for information about the disaster be very careful of the links you click on. Do not download anything that tells you that you have a virus or malware or that your computer is under attack.
