Overview

Ashampoo AntiSpy Pro is a privacy utility for Windows that controls the diagnostic and usage information sent by supported system functions and applications. It brings telemetry restrictions into one interface, alongside separate settings for browsers and their AI integrations. The Pro edition uses a paid subscription; its free trial is time limited.

Telemetry rules

AntiSpy Pro lists the Windows functions and applications it can manage, with controls to allow or block their telemetry. Its targets extend beyond Windows to Office, antivirus software, preinstalled manufacturer tools and graphics-card utilities. Selecting entries and applying the changes lets you adjust those supported targets without working through each application’s settings or editing the registry yourself.

Protection presets provide a starting point for that selection:

  • Minimal: keeps essential telemetry.
  • Recommended: restricts more sharing but still permits some data transmission.
  • High: applies the strongest restrictions and can affect how installed applications work.
  • None: allows telemetry communication again.

Ashampoo AntiSpy Pro can apply its recommendations in one action, or you can configure individual options and use Expert mode for additional settings. The Protect command applies the current selection. The overview also represents the blocking settings in a pie chart, so the selected configuration remains visible when you return to the program.

Browser settings

Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Opera and Vivaldi have separate settings in AntiSpy Pro. You can change a browser’s usage-data sharing without treating every installed browser alike. Depending on the browser, the controls also cover default-browser checks, clipboard sharing and browsing history.

Disabling browser AI features

The No AI area targets selected AI functions built into browsers. In Chrome, these include Gemini integration and AI Mode; in Firefox, they include generative AI features. You choose which supported integrations to disable, allowing other browser features to remain available.

Reapplying rules

Selected protections can be applied again whenever Windows starts. AntiSpy Pro uses a scheduled task for this option, which reapplies the saved blocking settings at logon. Major Windows updates can also make it necessary to apply protection again after the system changes.

The live monitor provides a view of current activity, and optional Windows notifications report telemetry status. If a restriction prevents you from using a feature you need, you can undo the corresponding change rather than discard the entire configuration.
