About Uninstaller
Windows includes its own way to remove programs, so the reason a dedicated uninstaller exists is the residue. When software is removed the normal way, it often leaves files, folders, and registry entries behind. A single leftover rarely matters; years of them on a busy machine add up to real clutter.
A dedicated uninstaller works in two stages. It runs the program's own removal routine first, then scans for what that routine missed and clears the remnants. The tools here are built around that second pass, and it is the practical reason to choose one over the built-in option.
The better tools add a few useful abilities. Some can monitor an installation as it happens, recording every change so the program can later be removed completely. Some handle batch removal, clearing several unwanted programs in one sitting. Some help with stubborn software that refuses to uninstall normally or has no entry left to click.
One caution applies to all of them. After the standard removal, an uninstaller presents a list of leftover items it proposes to delete, and that list can include entries shared with other software. Read it rather than approving it blindly. Used with that small amount of care, an uninstaller keeps a system noticeably cleaner than the default tool does.
