Wondershare PDFelement is a PDF editor for changing page text, rearranging pages, converting documents, preparing forms, and removing sensitive information. It works on the PDF itself rather than the original Word or design file. That makes it useful when the source document is missing, but it also means each edit must fit the objects, fonts, and page geometry already stored in the PDF.
Edit the page
Wondershare PDFelement can change text and graphics, insert new material, and reorganize pages. Text editing has paragraph and line modes, so the user can decide whether a change should affect a larger text block or one line. The result still depends on the fonts embedded in the document. A replacement font can alter spacing, and a longer sentence can collide with a nearby object instead of reflowing through the whole file like a word processor.
Conversion creates Word, PowerPoint, Excel, HTML, text, or image output. A converted file is a new interpretation of the PDF, not the hidden source from which the PDF was made. Dense columns, irregular tables, and text placed as separate fragments can therefore need repair after conversion.
Read scanned pages
A scanned PDF usually contains page images rather than selectable words. OCR lets Wondershare PDFelement recognize an entire document or a chosen area. The document language must match the printed material. Choosing the wrong language can produce convincing but incorrect words, especially around accented characters and similar letter shapes.
The output mode also changes the job. Searchable Text Image keeps the scanned appearance and adds a text layer for finding and copying words. Editable Text creates content intended for correction and reuse. Neither choice verifies names, amounts, or dates. A search result proves that OCR found a word; it does not prove that the word matches the paper.
Redaction has two steps
Drawing a redaction mark only identifies material for removal. Wondershare PDFelement then requires the user to apply the redactions. Saving after that step permanently removes the selected information. This distinction matters because a black rectangle used as an ordinary annotation can merely cover text visually while leaving the underlying characters available to search or copy.
Applied redaction cannot be treated like temporary markup. The safer workflow keeps an untouched original, marks a working copy, applies the changes, then searches and selects around every removed area. Page headers, comments, attachments, and document properties may contain separate information outside the marked region.
Build working forms
Wondershare PDFelement can search a page for blanks and table structures, then create interactive form controls. The result may need manual correction when a decorative line looks like an entry box or when several boxes belong to one choice. Text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, combo boxes, and list boxes can be added by hand.
Field names and behavior matter after the page looks complete. Duplicate names can make separate boxes share one value, while a missing required flag allows an incomplete submission. Data extraction can send form information to CSV, but the exported columns only make sense when the fields were named and grouped consistently. The visual layout alone does not guarantee a usable form.
