Audials One is a Windows program for recording streaming video, music and internet radio into a local media collection. It saves movies, series episodes, individual songs and spoken audio as files that can be played offline, edited or converted for another device. Its recording tools also handle the work around capture: separating songs, removing advertisements, attaching media information and queuing several videos.
Video capture
Audials One can capture playback from Chrome, Firefox or Edge, or use its integrated player to find and record a video. It supports streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+, alongside live streams. Recording uses the graphics card to capture the video signal, with output up to 1080p depending on the source, settings and device.
The resulting files can use MP4, MKV, AVI or WebM. Subtitles can come from the streaming service or an online search, and can be embedded in the video or saved separately as an SRT file. Audials can remove advertisements during capture or remove detected commercials afterward.
Recording queue
For supported services, the queue collects movies and episodes for consecutive recording. A title is selected through the service in Audials, briefly played and added to the list. The user chooses recording settings, including speed, advertisement handling and subtitles, before starting the queue. Audials then opens the selected videos in turn and saves their recordings on the computer; access to the streaming service is still required.
Accelerated video recording can reach four times normal speed by recording four parts simultaneously and joining them into one file. Automatic stopping at the end of a video also makes a queue useful for a series or several films, without manually ending every capture.
Recording songs, albums and playlists
Music recording works with individual songs, albums, playlists and audiobooks played through supported browsers, streaming applications or Audials’ internal browser. Audials One separates songs into individual audio files and removes advertisements. It can choose the recording format automatically, or save tracks in a selected format such as MP3, FLAC, AAC, M4A or AIFF.
Available recording quality depends on the service and source, with support for audio up to 96 kHz and 24-bit. Music can be recorded at normal playback speed for listening along, or at an accelerated rate of up to five times normal speed where supported. Searching by artist, album, genre or playlist provides another route to finding recordings for the collection.
Radio stations and the music wish list
Audials One’s radio directory is organized by country and genre, with station favorites and suggestions for similar stations. The station view identifies the current artist and title and lists recently played songs. Recording can follow one station or capture up to 100 stations in parallel.
A music wish list changes the selection from stations to particular songs. Audials looks for the requested music on radio stations or streaming services and records it automatically. Radio tracks are split into separate files and receive titles, artist names, lyrics and album artwork, so a long recording session produces identifiable songs rather than one continuous broadcast.
Podcasts
Podcast episodes can be played directly or saved for offline listening. The catalog includes older episodes as well as current releases, and subscribing to a podcast retrieves new episodes automatically. Saved episodes include an image and description and are grouped by podcast, keeping spoken programs separate from a song collection.
Media editing
Audials One adds movie titles, genres and descriptions to video recordings and sorts series episodes. Its video editor can trim material, remove unwanted scenes or black bars and change tags. A converter changes the file format for another player, with device profiles for recurring output choices.
For music, the tag editor changes information across several tracks and suggests details for missing tags. Audio editing includes trimming, fades, volume adjustment and exporting a selected section. Duplicate management helps locate repeated songs for editing or deletion, while playlists can bring music and video recordings together. Files can also be kept on external storage or transferred to other devices.
AI enhancement with Audials One Pro
Audials One and Audials One Pro are paid subscription editions. One provides the recording and media tools; Pro adds AI processing for existing recordings and other media files. Its video functions include upscaling to 4K, frame interpolation for smoother motion and slow motion, and HDR conversion. Pro also processes audio to reduce encoding artifacts and extend its frequency range.
