Gacha Club is an anime character creator and role-playing game for Android, iPhone and iPad. It combines dress-up tools and a scene-building studio with collectible units and battles. A separate Windows edition, Gacha Club Studio, is a demo containing the character customization and studio features.
Character design
Gacha Club gives you 10 main character slots and another 90 extra characters to customize. You build their appearance from clothing, hairstyles, weapons and other items, then change colors and adjust hair, eyes and accessories to fit the design. Almost all items have color controls, so a chosen outfit does not have to keep its original palette.
There are 600 poses to choose from, alongside customizable pets and objects. Each character can also have a custom profile. The clothing and appearance tools are free to use; designing this cast is separate from collecting the units used in the mobile game’s battles.
Studio scenes
Studio mode turns the characters into a scene. You can position up to 10 characters on the screen, add pets and objects, and select both a background and a foreground.
Custom text boxes give characters and pets dialogue, while a Narrator adds text for storytelling. Face presets let you change an expression without rebuilding the face. Gacha Club can save and load up to 15 scenes, allowing you to return to a composition and continue changing its cast, setting or conversation.
These character and Studio tools form the Windows demo. Its online character import and export are unavailable, and accounts cannot transfer between that demo and the Android edition.
Battle units
The full mobile game adds a collection of more than 180 units for battle, including rare Corrupted and DJ characters. You can also collect 150 pets that increase battle stats.
Battles are divided into Story, Training, Tower and Shadows of Corruption modes. Gems, gold and materials support progression, with materials used to enhance units, awaken them and raise their skill levels.
Mini games
Mini games such as Usagi vs Neko and Mascot Whack provide another activity within the full game. They award gems and bytes that can be spent on gacha draws for more characters.
The mobile game supports offline play and has no in-app purchases. The Android edition includes advertising.
