Ubisoft Connect is a PC game client for accessing and managing Ubisoft games, keeping in touch with other players, and collecting rewards from play. It connects the desktop library to a wider account-based service available inside Ubisoft games on PC and consoles. Ubisoft Connect itself is free and requires a Ubisoft account.
Game library
The PC app brings game access, library organization, and game discovery into the same interface. You can customize your library and receive personalized recommendations for what to play next. Free games, trials, and betas are also available through the client.
Ubisoft+ adds access to a subscription catalogue through Ubisoft Connect PC. That access depends on the subscription you hold and remains available while it is active. Ubisoft+ games require an internet connection to launch and play.
Game trials
The library’s Free games area lists available free weekends and Free Trials. Choosing a trial and adding it to your games places it in the My games collection.
Free Trials can display an in-game timer and messages when the available time ends. Some provide the normal game experience until the allowance runs out. Ubisoft Connect preserves progress made during a Free Trial, allowing you to continue from that point if you later buy the game.
Friends, cross-play and shared progress
Ubisoft Connect provides friends and chat across supported gaming platforms, with grouping features for playing together. The PC client can also import Steam friends, bringing existing contacts into its social features.
Cross-play and cross-progression depend on the particular game and platforms involved. In a title that supports shared progression, you can move between supported devices and continue your progress. A connection between friends on different platforms does not by itself make their games compatible for multiplayer.
Units
Completing Ubisoft Connect Challenges helps level up your Ubisoft account and earn Units. These loyalty points can be exchanged for in-game rewards, including items such as outfits, weapons, emotes, and consumables. Qualifying Ubisoft Store purchases also earn Units.
Units also have a separate store use: redeeming 100 Units provides a 20% discount on eligible purchases. The discount excludes subscriptions, in-game purchases, and products containing virtual currency, and cannot be combined with another discount code.
