Wise ImageX is an AI image editor from WiseCleaner for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. It repairs, enlarges, cleans up and compresses existing pictures, and it can also produce new images and short clips from text prompts or photos. The program is a free download, with a PRO subscription that opens every feature.
How a typical job runs
Wise ImageX keeps its tools in a column of tabs on the left, and choosing one opens its working panel on the right. A picture goes into the source area by dragging it there or by browsing with the plus button. After you set any option, such as scale, Generate sends the job off for AI processing. The result returns as a preview that you can save locally. A single restoration usually returns in about a minute.
WiseCleaner’s AI servers handle processing, with a backup engine taking over when the main server is busy. Photos for restoration must be under 5 MB. Super Resolution and Photo Restoration limit the longest edge to 3840 pixels.
Repairing old and damaged photos
Photo Restoration is meant for scans and prints that have become blurry, worn, faded or damaged. The AI model rebuilds lost detail without manual retouching, so no layer or brush work is involved. Colorization is a separate one-click step that turns a black-and-white image into a color version. You can therefore repair a family photo first and then add color in Wise ImageX.
Fixing haze and flat tones
Dehazing targets outdoor shots where fog or atmospheric blur washes out the scene. It restores clarity, contrast and fine detail. The contrast tool works more broadly, automatically balancing brightness, contrast and color across the whole picture.
Enlarging and extending the frame
Super Resolution doubles an image’s dimensions while sharpening detail and color, which helps when a small picture needs to hold up in print. Smart Outpaint solves a different problem. Instead of scaling the existing pixels, it adds new content beyond the original edges. It fills that area with background matching the scene, turning a tight crop into a wider composition.
Removing objects and watermarks
The Smart Eraser removes an unwanted object and fills the gap with AI-generated surroundings so the picture looks complete. A dedicated Watermark Remover deals with logos, timestamps and watermarks, detecting the mark automatically and keeping the texture underneath. WiseCleaner intends it for images the user owns or has the rights to edit.
Creating content from prompts and photos
Several tools in Wise ImageX generate new material rather than correct an existing picture:
- Text-to-Image turns a short written prompt into an original picture or piece of concept art.
- Image Editor changes an existing photo according to a text instruction.
- Image-to-Video animates a still picture into an AI clip of up to 10 seconds.
- Face Swap takes the face from a source image and places it on the person in a target image.
Compressing image files
The compressor reduces file size by lowering color bit depth while leaving width and height untouched, with compression rates of up to 80 percent. It works on PNG, JPG, APNG and WebP files.
