Acronis Mobile is a backup app for Android phones and tablets, iPhones and iPads. It saves copies of personal data so that photos, videos and contact details can be recovered after deletion or moved to another device. The app belongs to the consumer Acronis True Image service; business accounts use the separate Acronis Cyber Protect app.
What Acronis Mobile backs up
Photos, videos and contacts are supported on both Android and iOS. On iPhone and iPad, Acronis Mobile also backs up calendars and reminders, preserving appointments and task information alongside the media and address book.
Backup destinations
Acronis Mobile can send backups to Acronis Cloud and a local Windows PC or Mac at the same time. The computer copy keeps the backed-up data locally, while the cloud copy can be accessed from another device.
Local computer backup works with the desktop Acronis True Image application and requires an active subscription. Once configured, wireless backup can run when the mobile device connects to the Wi-Fi network.
Mobile backups can be encrypted to protect their contents. Acronis Mobile also keeps backups from multiple mobile devices accessible through one account, allowing you to retrieve data from another phone or tablet rather than only from the device currently in your hand.
Continuous backup and network use
Continuous backup can run while the device is charging. The power-saving setting stops continuous backups when battery power is low.
Network controls determine how the data travels. With “Use Wi-Fi Only” enabled, transfers are restricted to Wi-Fi; cellular backup is available when you want to send data while away from a wireless network.
Data recovery
Acronis Mobile can recover backed-up content to the original device or a replacement. You can browse the available backup, select the individual items you need, or recover its contents together. The Android app also supports recovery without overwriting or replacing data already on the destination.
Access to another device’s backup makes the account useful during a phone change. Supported data can move from Android to iOS or in the opposite direction, letting photographs, videos and contacts follow you across the two platforms.
