Alice AI is Yandex’s freemium assistant for Android, iPhone and iPad, with chat, document analysis, image generation and photo animation. It answers questions and creates text in Russian and English. An optional Alice Plus subscription adds priority access.
Questions, drafts and voice input
Alice AI keeps each conversation’s context, so follow-up requests can add details or change an earlier draft. It writes, edits and translates Russian and English text. The microphone button creates a dictated prompt that you can edit before sending. For short voice questions, the Alice button sends your words as soon as you stop speaking.
An Intellect control switches between Auto and Expert modes. Expert handles questions involving several conditions, calculations or planning. After Alice answers, its copy control transfers the text to the clipboard for use in another app.
Reading attachments
The attachment button adds a DOC, DOCX, PDF or TXT document to a message. You then specify what Alice AI should find, explain or summarize. It analyzes the document and returns an answer in the conversation. Each message accepts one file.
Images follow the same question-and-answer workflow. Alice can recognize objects, extract text and explain information in a chart. Opening an attached image’s thumbnail reveals a cropping frame, which selects a fragment for analysis.
Drawing and changing pictures
Image creation starts from the chat’s drawing tool or a written request to draw something. Alice AI turns a description into an illustration, with controls through the prompt for aspect ratio and multiple variants.
For photo edits, you attach a JPEG or PNG and describe a change or choose a template. Alice can replace backgrounds, add or remove objects, and color black-and-white photographs. Studio’s editing tab also collects results in a gallery, with controls to download or share them.
Animating a still photograph
In Studio’s animation tab, you upload a photograph and describe the desired movement or choose a suggested prompt. Alice AI turns that image into a short video. When the result appears, you can download it or share it through another app.
Live camera conversations
Alice AI’s Look mode accepts a live camera view in Russia and Belarus. You open it from the tools menu, point the camera at an object and ask a question. Further questions retain the conversation’s context while Alice recognizes objects in view. A camera control switches between front and rear views. Alice does not save the video stream in the chat.
Saved chats and priority access
Signing in keeps Alice AI conversations together and synchronizes their history with the web chat. You can reopen a conversation on another device and continue it there.
Free access includes text chat, image generation and attachment analysis. During heavy demand, Alice can temporarily restrict reasoning, image generation and analysis for free accounts. Alice Plus gives these requests priority and adds HD photo animation. The subscription option requires Yandex Plus and operates in Russia and Belarus.
