Choose the destination
PDF keeps a fixed-page result, while DOCX and ODT remain editable. Image output turns pages into pictures. TXT keeps characters but drops page design and images. EPUB, FB2, and Mobi reflow text for ebook reading, so page breaks and precise object positions no longer mean the same thing.
The AVS Document Converter destination should follow the next task. An archive that must preserve appearance needs a different output than text that must adapt to a small screen. Layout may change
AVS Document Converter does not preserve every source feature in every target. Tables, images, embedded objects, columns, and fonts can disappear or render differently when the output has no matching structure. A successful status means the file was written, not that every page remained visually correct.
Review headings, page breaks, lists, tables, links, and the final page after conversion. Scanned pages may behave as images rather than editable text unless the source already contains recognized text.
Merge order matters
AVS Document Converter Merge open documents combines the queued items into one file. The Change order control determines their sequence and can remove an unwanted item before conversion. A reversed invoice or appendix still produces a valid file, so the order needs checking rather than relying on the filenames.
Page numbering and internal links from separate sources may not form one continuous structure automatically. The merged output needs its own review if it will serve as a formal report.
Watermarks span batches
Watermarks are available for PDF and image output. One enabled watermark applies to every imported document in the conversion batch. Text, font, direction, color, and opacity control its appearance. A setting suitable for a dark page may disappear on a light page or obscure small print elsewhere.
Convert representative pages before processing the full queue. Watermarking a DOCX or ebook output is not available through the same control, so choosing that format can make the watermark section disappear.
PDF security is limited
PDF output can use owner and user passwords and restrict editing, printing, or copying. These controls depend on the receiving PDF reader honoring the permissions. They are not a replacement for removing confidential content. A black shape placed over text in the source may leave the underlying text extractable.
Password loss can also block the intended recipient. Store the password through a separate channel and keep an unprotected source in controlled storage.
Extraction copies images
AVS Document Converter Extract Images saves embedded pictures into a chosen folder. It does not remove them from the source or prove that each saved image has its original resolution. Repeated logos may create many similar outputs, and generated names can collide with existing files. Use an empty destination folder so the result can be checked without overwriting unrelated images.
