ChrisPC VideoTube Downloader is a Windows application from Chris P.C. srl that saves online video and audio as local files. It also converts downloads into other media formats. The family includes a Free edition for non-commercial use, a paid Add-on Package and a separate Pro edition with a free trial.

Adding links to the download list

Users paste a video’s address into the input box and use the plus button to add it to the download list. The Paste and Add to the list control combines those actions. Fast Drag&Drop accepts links directly in the list, and clipboard monitoring can add copied video links automatically.

VideoTube Downloader’s Download Folder field sets the destination through a typed path or folder picker. A down-arrow starts one selected item, while Process all files from list starts the batch. The interface shows progress for each video and the list overall.

Choosing videos from a playlist

A playlist or channel address enters VideoTube Downloader through the same input as an individual video. Playlist Preview loads the entries and lets users search by name or sort by title, duration or author. Checkboxes select individual videos; keyboard and mouse selection also support batches.

Playlist History compares a playlist with an earlier copy or another list, showing new additions. The Free edition loads the first fifteen entries; Add-on and licensed Pro remove that restriction.

Finding streams inside the Pro browser

VideoTube Downloader Pro includes Link Finder, an embedded browser for pages that direct link analysis cannot resolve. Users open a page and start playback. Link Finder lists the media addresses it detects, together with their stream types. Filters separate video and audio entries before users select a stream, choose its quality and add it to the download queue.

Chrome and other browser profiles load different presentations of a site. Expert Mode provides another detection route when ordinary modes find no valid stream. Its Download List window presents MPD, M3U8 and subtitle entries for selection.

Source quality and conversion targets

VideoTube Downloader lets users choose download quality for one YouTube video or the whole list. Source options include MP4, WebM, FLV and 3GP, with resolutions up to 4K. Available formats and conversion quality depend on the license.

Turning on Convert downloaded videos to applies a chosen output profile after downloading. Targets include MPEG-4 video, AVI with XviD, MP3 audio and AC3. Device profiles cover iPhone, iPad and iPod. The program also saves available subtitles as SRT files and can select a preferred subtitle language automatically.

Names and folders

With Add-on or Pro, filename templates can insert the video title, channel name and video ID. VideoTube Downloader can also create a separate subfolder for each YouTube playlist or channel.

Separate files for video chapters

When VideoTube Downloader analyzes a YouTube video with chapters, it asks whether to create a separate file for each chapter. Accepting produces individual MP4 or WebM files. Declining keeps one video file and adds the chapter names and marks inside it. Users choose format and quality before starting the transfer.

Recording a live stream

VideoTube Downloader Pro records live YouTube, M3U8 HLS, F4M HDS and RTMP streams. Link Finder supplies the detected stream to the download list. For YouTube and M3U8 recordings, the per-video menu lets users set an ending time and change it while recording continues.

History and scheduled starts

VideoTube Downloader Pro keeps a download log that users search by title, author or download day. From Download History, they can convert an existing download again without fetching the video again.

Delayed Download assigns a queued video a start time within the next twenty-four hours. An advanced setting prevents Windows from entering sleep while the program runs.

Free, Add-on and Pro access

The paid Add-on activates functions inside ChrisPC Free VideoTube Downloader. Pro adds Link Finder, download history, delayed starts and live recording. Its trial restricts playlist loading and the length or completeness of some stream downloads.
