Cleaner Guru App examines an iPhone photo library and contact book for material that may be consolidated or removed. It groups duplicate and visually similar photos, finds large media, compresses videos, and can merge repeated contact cards. Unlike the Storage screen in iOS, which reports which categories use space, Cleaner Guru App builds review groups and performs selected changes after the user grants access and confirms them.
Photo groups need review
The photo scan looks for exact duplicates and near matches. Similarity is useful for bursts and repeated screenshots, but two close images can preserve different expressions, focus, crops, or metadata. Cleaner Guru App may mark one candidate as the best shot, yet that mark is a classification rather than knowledge of why the user kept each image.
The review screen is therefore part of the cleanup, not an optional delay. Deleting an entire suggested group can remove the only copy with the desired edit or live-photo component. The app states that nothing is deleted without explicit approval. iOS may place removed photos in Recently Deleted for a period, but the user should not treat that folder as a permanent backup.
Compression makes another file
Video compression reduces storage by encoding media at a smaller size. Cleaner Guru App can retain the original until the user checks the result, depending on the chosen flow. The compressed copy is not byte-for-byte identical. Fine detail, rapid motion, and later editing can reveal quality loss even when ordinary playback looks similar.
Space also does not return simply because a smaller copy exists. The original still occupies storage until the user removes it and, when applicable, clears it from Recently Deleted. Compression needs temporary working space while the new file is created, so a phone that is completely full may have difficulty processing its largest videos.
Contacts change together
Cleaner Guru App can group contact cards that share names, phone numbers, or email addresses and merge them. A merge combines fields into one card instead of choosing one complete card as the winner. This can reduce duplicates created by several synced accounts.
Contact access reaches address-book data, so the permission is broader than reading storage totals. Two people with the same name, or a work and personal card intentionally kept apart, can become a bad merge. Synced contacts may also propagate the merged result to an account on other devices. Reviewing the fields and maintaining a contact backup is safer than approving every suggested pair at once.
Email and private media
The email cleaner can identify bulk mail and unsubscribe or delete selected messages for a connected Gmail account. That action affects the mailbox rather than only hiding a message inside Cleaner Guru App. A broad selection may include receipts or account notices mixed with promotional mail.
The secret folder stores selected photos and videos behind an app password, and the publisher says processing stays on the device. Moving a file into an app-controlled area is different from creating an external backup. Removing the app, losing its password, or losing the phone can still make that private copy unavailable unless another recovery path exists.
Subscription control
Cleaner Guru App uses in-app subscriptions for unrestricted access to its paid functions. A trial can convert to a renewing subscription, and purchasing during an unused trial ends the remaining trial period. Cancellation happens in the Apple account’s subscription settings, not by deleting the app. The renewal setting should be checked before the next billing window, especially when the app was installed for a one-time cleanup.
