Stunnel adds TLS or DTLS encryption to existing application connections through client and server proxy modes. Configuration files control authentication, protocol negotiation and backend routing.

The official repository contains the complete Stunnel source project and build files, based on official releases. The source supports Unix platforms, including Linux and BSD, as well as Windows builds. Building Stunnel requires the separate OpenSSL library. The repository includes the native manual and Windows build instructions.
