Overview

EaseUS VideoKit is a Windows toolkit for converting, compressing and editing video and audio files. It also includes smaller tools for extracting soundtracks and building animated GIFs. It covers everyday media chores such as making a clip play on a phone, shrinking a file for upload or cutting a video before sharing it. You can download the program for free as a trial. A paid license comes as a subscription or a lifetime key and removes the trial limits.

EaseUS now presents the toolkit under the name EaseUS VideFlow. Besides the original conversion, compression and editing tools, the current package adds a URL-based video downloader and a media player with AI subtitle, transcription and summary functions.

Format conversion with device presets

The Video Converter in EaseUS VideoKit works as a queue. The user adds files with a button or by dragging them into the window. Common targets include MP4, MOV, MKV and AVI. In Settings, the user picks a format and a quality level, or opens custom parameters to set the encoder, frame rate and bitrate directly.

Device and web video presets make that choice for the user: selecting a phone or a site such as YouTube or Facebook produces a file that destination accepts.

The bottom bar of the converter holds options that apply to the whole job:

  • an output folder for the finished files;
  • a high-speed conversion mode and GPU acceleration, which moves encoding work to the graphics card;
  • a Merge switch that joins every queued file into one video, in the order they appear in the list;
  • an option to apply one set of output settings to all tasks.

Completed jobs move to a Finished list, where a right-click plays the result, deletes it or shows its details. The converter can also turn an audio track into a video by placing it over a background color or image.

Audio conversion and extraction

A separate Audio Converter changes one audio format into another. Targets include MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, AMR, MP2 and M4R, the last being the ringtone format used by iPhones.

The Audio Extractor takes the sound track out of a video file. It saves the track as an audio file, for example MP3, M4A or WAV. It suits keeping a song from a music video without the picture.

Compressing by target size or quality

The Video Compressor in EaseUS VideoKit re-encodes a video to a target file size or quality level. Advanced settings expose the video encoder, resolution, frame rate and audio parameters such as encoder, channels and sample rate.

Two bitrate modes decide how the size is reached:

Mode How it behaves Trade-off
Variable bitrate (VBR) Spends more data on complex scenes and less on simple ones Better quality and often a much smaller file, but the final size cannot be predicted
Constant bitrate (CBR) Uses the same data rate throughout Predictable output size

A 20-second preview shows the compressed result before the full job runs. The compressor helps videos meet the requirements of platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. It can compress several files in one batch.

Editing tools for single clips

The editor in VideoKit handles corrections to one video at a time rather than multi-track production:

  • Trim keeps a selected range on the timeline, or removes a section from the middle by clipping around it.
  • Crop and rotate turns the frame and cuts it to a custom size or one of the default proportions.
  • Audio adjusts volume, adds fade-in and fade-out, and shifts the sound to fix sync with the picture.
  • Subtitles imports a subtitle file and styles it by font, size, color, background and screen position.
  • Effects apply filters and adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, white balance and sharpness. Deinterlacing converts interlaced footage into progressive video.
  • Watermark places an image or a text mark with adjustable size and color.
  • Speed changes the playback rate of the clip.

A Recently Edited list keeps edited videos sorted by date for reopening or deletion.

Making GIFs from video or pictures

The GIF Maker builds animations in two ways. It can capture a chosen moment from a video in formats such as MP4, AVI, MOV, WEBM and FLV. It offers control over resolution and playback speed. It can also combine a set of still pictures into an animated sequence.

Downloader and AI player in VideFlow

The downloader in VideFlow starts from a pasted link: the program analyzes the page, lists the available qualities and saves the chosen one. It accepts YouTube, Instagram and many other video sites, and several downloads can run at once. Subscriptions automate repeat downloads. They fetch new uploads from a followed YouTube channel or playlist as they appear. They can also save an Instagram account’s photos, videos, Reels, Stories and profile content. A built-in search allows browsing and downloading without a separate browser.

The AI video player works on local files and online videos. It generates subtitles from speech and translates subtitles into other languages. It also translates the audio of videos that have no subtitles. It produces a text transcript and writes a summary of the video’s content.
