Leawo Prof. Media is a multimedia suite for Windows and macOS that converts video and audio, extracts movies from optical discs, and creates or copies DVD, Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray content. Its modules share interfaces for conversion, copying and disc authoring, with separate tools for recorded Blu-ray media and Cinavia processing.
Converting discs and files with Leawo Prof. Media
The ripping modules accept discs, folders and ISO images. DVD, ordinary Blu-ray, UHD Blu-ray and recorded BDAV Blu-ray have their own modules, so the source determines which conversion tool handles the content.
Local video and audio can also be converted without a disc. Supported inputs include MP4, MKV, AVI, MOV and MTS/M2TS video, alongside formats such as FLAC, AAC, MP3 and WAV audio.
Selecting titles, audio and subtitles
Full Movie loads all titles, while Main Movie selects the longest title. Custom Mode lets the user select particular titles, which can exclude unwanted extras from the conversion. Audio tracks and subtitles can be chosen from the loaded source.
Video-file conversion also accepts external subtitles. Several loaded videos can be merged into one output, and the processing order can be changed before conversion.
Output profiles and encoding controls
Output profiles are grouped by format and device. Leawo Prof. Media exports common video formats such as MP4, MKV, AVI and MOV, including H.265 MP4/MKV and 4K MP4/MKV options. Audio outputs include AAC, MP3, M4A, OGG and WAV.
A profile can be adjusted through codec, bitrate, resolution, frame rate and audio sample-rate settings. Customized profiles can be saved for reuse. Multi-track MKV and MP4 profiles preserve multiple audio tracks and subtitles in the resulting file.
Copying discs and converting disc formats
The Copy interface produces disc backups, folders or ISO images. Full Movie keeps the complete selection of titles; Main Movie and Custom Mode narrow the content and allow audio and subtitle selection. Target disc type and destination determine how the backup is stored.
A same-capacity copy and a compressed backup serve different purposes. Compression fits larger content onto a smaller target, including DVD-9 to DVD-5 and BD50 to BD25. UHD copying also supports BD100 to BD66 compression.
Blu-ray to DVD and DVD to Blu-ray
The Blu-ray to DVD module converts BD25 or BD50 sources into DVD-5 or DVD-9 content. It offers Main Movie and Custom Mode, with a selected subtitle and audio track. The output can be a DVD disc, folder or ISO image.
The reverse module combines DVD content into Blu-ray disc, folder or ISO output. Multiple DVD sources can be consolidated into one BD25 or BD50 target, with a disc menu to organize navigation between the contents.
Cinavia processing
Leawo Prof. Media has separate DVD and Blu-ray Cinavia modules for copying content with this audio watermark removed. The user selects the titles, audio track, subtitles and output disc type, then enables Cinavia removal for the backup.
This processing addresses the watermark that can trigger muted playback on players that detect it. The result remains DVD or Blu-ray backup content rather than a general video-file conversion.
Creating discs, menus and photo slideshows
The Burn interface takes videos or photos and creates DVD, Blu-ray or UHD Blu-ray output. Disc type, aspect ratio and quality can be selected before authoring. The result can be written to a disc or saved as a folder or ISO image.
An existing ISO image can also be burned directly. For physical UHD Blu-ray output on Windows, the suite uses ImgBurn as the burning engine.
Menus and chapters
Menu templates provide a starting layout, while No Menu omits disc navigation. A template can be customized with background music, an image or video, title text, fonts, colors and icon positions. Edited designs can be saved for later projects.
Chapter points divide a video into destinations within the disc. They can be inserted manually or generated automatically, and the menu preview shows chapter-list pages before the output is created.
Photo slideshow output
Imported photos become a slideshow that can be previewed and edited. The user can change the order, add or remove images, rotate photos and add background music. Video and audio effects apply to the generated sequence.
A slideshow can be exported through the conversion profiles or authored as DVD, Blu-ray or UHD Blu-ray content. Disc output uses the same target, quality, aspect-ratio and menu controls as video authoring.
Editing video before output
Leawo Prof. Media applies edits to loaded media before conversion or burning. Trim controls use start and end times or timeline handles to select a segment. Cropping adjusts the visible rectangle to remove unwanted margins.
Other controls rotate or flip the picture, change playback speed, remove noise and adjust audio volume. Brightness, contrast and saturation can be changed with an immediate preview of the edited result.
Text and image watermarks have adjustable position and transparency. Text also has font and color settings, while image overlays can be resized. These settings control how the overlay appears within the output picture.
The 3D panel converts a 2D source into a selected stereoscopic layout. It offers several colored anaglyph combinations, Interleaved and Side by Side output, with a depth control for the applied effect.
Online video downloads through CleverGet
Online video acquisition uses CleverGet Video Downloader, which replaces the former internal Download module. It opens a video page in its own browser and detects available media variants, including live-stream sources.
The user selects a detected format and resolution, then saves the download to a chosen folder. Download tasks can be monitored or stopped, and completed video or audio files can be opened locally. Available choices depend on the media detected on the page.
Trial and licensed modules
The trial limits conversion and ripping output to the first five minutes. The Blu-ray to DVD and DVD to Blu-ray trials also restrict their output to the first five minutes of content.
The Leawo Prof. Media all-in-one pack licenses its function modules and includes CleverGet Video Downloader. Annual and lifetime licenses are available for one computer. An annual license requires renewal when it expires.
