Polaris Office is an office suite for creating and editing text documents, spreadsheets and presentations, with PDF tools alongside them. It is available for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, with a separate browser editor. Its cloud edition combines document editing with Polaris Drive, while the perpetual desktop edition focuses on files kept locally.
Document formats
Polaris Office handles Word files in DOC and DOCX, Excel workbooks in XLS and XLSX, and PowerPoint presentations in PPT, PPTX and PPSX. It also supports ODT, PDF, text and CSV files. Format support varies between platforms and editions; the cloud product additionally supports HWP-family documents.
When starting a new file, you choose its document type from the home screen. Templates provide a starting layout, and the editors let you combine text with tables, charts and images.
Sheet editing
The Sheet editor works with spreadsheet files and provides premium tools for editing pivot tables and adding cell notes. Pivot tables reorganize a set of data into a summary, while notes attach an explanation to a particular cell.
The premium editing tools are included in the Pro and AI subscriptions. Smart offers a limited selection, and Basic does not include that toolset.
Slide editing
Polaris Office includes a Slide editor for creating presentations and changing existing PowerPoint files. Its premium tools include slide masters, animation editing and presenter view. A slide master controls recurring design elements across slides; animation editing controls how presentation elements appear during delivery. Presenter view provides a separate presentation control view rather than simply showing the slide being edited.
Templates, inserted images and charts supply the presentation’s content and layout. These authoring functions are separate from the cloud service’s AI presentation generator, which can produce an initial presentation from supplied material.
PDF conversion
Polaris Office can open PDFs and convert them into Word, Sheet or Slide documents for further editing. The conversion route changes the PDF into an editable office document, after which work continues in the corresponding editor.
On Windows, PDF conversion is available with Pro and AI subscriptions and perpetual products. In the cloud edition, the PDF must be saved in Polaris Drive for conversion. Expanded PDF tools vary by plan, so Basic’s PDF support does not include the full paid feature set.
Polaris Drive
The cloud edition uses a signed-in account to connect documents across devices. A file saved in Polaris Drive can be accessed through the same account on another supported device. Saving to the local device is also possible, but a local file does not become available elsewhere merely because the account is the same.
Sharing controls offer read-only links, editing access or invitations to specific people. Removing sharing returns access to the owner.
Windows users can turn supported Word, Sheet and Slide files into co-edited documents. That changes DOCX, XLSX and PPTX files into the service’s .word, .sheet and .slide formats. Participants with editing rights can work on the same document simultaneously, and changes are saved on the server automatically. Co-editing has some restrictions, including unavailable Sheet notes and sheet-tab copying.
Polaris Office plans
Basic is free and includes advertising. Its monthly editing allowance and Drive capacity are separate limits: the amount of editing permitted during a month is not the same as the space available for stored documents.

Paid subscriptions remove advertising. Pro and AI include the full premium editing and expanded PDF toolsets; the AI plan also supplies a recurring allocation of AI credits. The perpetual edition is a separate one-time purchase for local work and does not include the cloud integration or subscription AI services.
AI presentations with NOVA
The browser-based NOVA presentation tool accepts either a short topic or an uploaded document. With a topic, it organizes material into slides. With an HWP, PDF, DOCX, PPTX or XLSX file, it summarizes the supplied content and creates a presentation from it.
NOVA tools use AI credits. Lower plans have a limited initial allocation, while the AI subscription replenishes its allocation monthly.
