WashAndGo is a Windows cleanup utility that removes accumulated files and browsing traces to free storage space. It scans for items such as temporary system files, program leftovers and duplicate files, then lets you choose how thoroughly to clean. Its cleanup controls combine different scan intensities with an optional backup before removal.
Scan levels and cleanup targets
WashAndGo offers three scan levels, ranging from express to deep scanning. After the analysis, you choose the cleaning intensity.
The cleanup covers both disk contents and internet browsing traces. Program leftovers and temporary system files are among its targets, alongside duplicate files. Removing these items returns the space they occupied to the drive.
Before and after a cleanup
Before cleaning begins, WashAndGo can create a backup if you choose that option. This protection is particularly relevant to its more radical cleaning, which can remove items from the Recycle Bin. The backup provides a way back when those discarded items turn out to be needed.
Once the cleanup finishes, the program displays how much storage space it reclaimed. The Show results control opens a more detailed account of the cleanup, so the outcome can be examined beyond the space total.
Auto-Clean
The full version of WashAndGo can run cleanup automatically in the background. Its Auto-Clean controls let you schedule it for each PC startup or on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
The trial runs for 30 days and excludes automatic cleaning. It also displays a purchase reminder when the program closes.
