Movavi Video Suite is a Windows software bundle for editing movies, converting media files and recording screen activity. Its separate video editor, converter and screen recorder cover different parts of producing a video: assembling footage into a project, capturing material from the desktop and preparing files for playback or sharing.
Timeline editing
The editor brings videos, photos and music into a Media Bin before you place them on the timeline. Dragging clips changes their order, while trimming and splitting remove unwanted material. You can also select part of a source clip before adding it to the timeline, keeping unused footage out of the sequence.
Transitions sit between clips, and text titles provide captions or other information over the picture. Built-in music, sounds, backgrounds and sample footage can join your own media. Voice-over recording adds narration to the project, so a sequence of photos or screen captures can have an accompanying explanation.
Video Blocks
Movavi Video Suite also supports construction from pre-edited Blocks. A Block is a short sequence with an existing arrangement, such as an intro, countdown or animated collage. You replace its videos, photos and text with your own material while retaining the underlying edit.
Templates combine these Blocks with music, transitions and text. You can use that arrangement, move its Blocks into a different order or insert additional ones. Blocks can also sit between manually edited clips, allowing a prepared introduction or collage to become part of a longer timeline project.
Speech editing
Automatic subtitles turn spoken audio into captions synchronized with the video. The resulting text can be corrected and styled through font, color and position controls. Word-by-word highlighting follows the speech, and subtitles can be exported as an SRT file for use separately from the movie. Automatic captions can also be translated into English.
Silence removal deals with the gaps between spoken passages. Pause-length and volume-threshold controls determine which quiet stretches are cut. Audio noise removal addresses unwanted sounds within the recording, such as wind or traffic.
Subject tracking and image correction
Auto-tracked cropping follows the main subject and adjusts the visible frame as it moves. When a horizontal recording is adapted to a vertical composition, the crop can keep a speaker or product in view.
Motion tracking connects an added graphic to an object in the footage, making the graphic follow that object’s movement. Background removal separates the subject from its surroundings so another scene can be placed behind it without requiring a green screen. Color correction changes the image’s appearance, while video denoise reduces visible grain in footage such as low-light recordings.
Screen capture
The screen recorder captures the full desktop, a window or a region defined by dragging a frame or entering pixel dimensions. System audio, microphone sound and webcam video have separate controls, allowing a software demonstration to include computer sound, spoken narration and a camera view. A recording timer can stop capture after a chosen duration.
Mouse and keystroke indicators make on-screen actions visible in the recording. During capture, the drawing tools add lines, shapes and pointers to the finished video. After recording, the capture window provides cuts for removing unwanted fragments. Recordings are initially saved as MKV files; exporting saves an edited copy in the selected output format.
Media conversion
Movavi Video Suite’s converter changes video, audio and image formats without requiring a timeline project. You add files, choose the destination format or device preset, select an output folder and process the selection. Before conversion, audio and subtitle controls determine which streams are used.
The suite’s supported formats include MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV and WebM video, along with MP3, WAV and FLAC audio. Format and codec support varies with the operating system and installed media components. The converter also creates GIFs from video and prepares files for device playback.
Compression controls change resolution and bitrate to reduce the output size. Constant bitrate keeps the data rate steady; variable bitrate changes it as the material requires. Lowering bitrate can reduce image quality, so the Convert sample control renders a selected-length excerpt for inspection before processing the complete video. A bitrate setting can be applied across multiple selected files.
Movavi Video Suite editions
The standard Movavi Video Suite bundle contains the editor, converter and recorder. Suite Plus adds effects packs, while the separate Suite + Photo Editor bundle adds photo-editing software. Full-library effects access and Movavi Templates also have separate subscription offers.
The seven-day trial restricts exports through watermarks, video or audio length limits and, depending on the function, unavailable advanced export features. The Windows suite also includes a media player and disc-burning tools for CD, DVD and Blu-ray media; DVD writing belongs to the disc-burning application rather than the timeline editor.
