Wondershare DVD Creator turns video clips and photographs into a disc project with chapters, menus, playback order, and television output settings. It can write the finished project to an optical disc or create an ISO image for a later burn. This is disc authoring rather than ordinary file copying. A data disc stores the source files for another computer, while a video DVD converts the material into the structure that a compatible player expects. That conversion can change picture quality and requires enough working space before the burner writes anything.
Build the title set
The Source stage collects video clips or photographs and arranges them as titles. The editor can trim unwanted material, crop the frame, rotate it, apply an effect, add a watermark, or place subtitles before authoring. These edits become part of the output; Wondershare DVD Creator does not change the original source file merely because it appears in the project.
Batch-imported photographs enter one slideshow rather than separate disc titles. The slideshow editor controls image order, transition timing, text, and background music. If the disc needs several independent photo sections, the user must organise them as separate slideshows instead of importing every photograph in one batch.
Shape the menu
The Menu stage assigns a template and connects its buttons to titles or chapters. A template can use a different background image, music, text, button style, and chapter frame. Creating a chapter gives a viewer a point inside a title; it does not split the source video into new files. The macOS build cannot create chapters, so a project that depends on chapter navigation needs that limitation resolved before menu work begins.
Preview plays the menu and authored sequence before the burn. It is the place to catch a button that opens the wrong title, a text label that does not fit, or a background track that repeats awkwardly. Returning to Source or Menu changes the project before Wondershare DVD Creator encodes the final output.
Fit the disc
High Quality spends more disc capacity to preserve picture detail. Standard lowers the required space, while Fit to disc compresses the project enough to fit the selected disc and may visibly reduce quality. The capacity meter therefore affects more than whether the project fits. Adding another title can cause every encoded title to receive a lower bitrate when Fit to disc handles the overflow.
The Burn stage also asks for the burner, disc label, television standard, and playback mode. The television standard must match the intended playback environment. A disc can finish without an error yet behave badly on a home player when its standard, media type, or encoded stream does not match what that player accepts.
Use an ISO fallback
Saving as an ISO creates a complete disc image on storage instead of writing the optical disc immediately. That separates encoding from the physical burn. If the direct burn freezes or the burner rejects a disc, the ISO can remain intact for another attempt through the operating system’s disc-image writer.
Wondershare DVD Creator may need temporary free space equal to three times the imported material during DVD creation. Choosing an output drive with enough final capacity does not solve a full temporary folder on another partition. The temporary location must have its own room. Other busy programs can also contribute to a stalled burn, so saving the project before restarting protects the menu and edit work.
Check real playback
A recognised filename extension does not guarantee that the video stream inside it uses a codec that Wondershare DVD Creator can decode or that a living-room player can play. Test the source clip before import, then test the finished disc in the target player before deleting the source or project. A successful preview confirms the authored sequence on the computer; it does not test the optical drive, blank media, or standalone player’s format limits.
