ASCOMP Easy Slideshow is a Windows application that turns photos and video clips into slideshow videos with transitions, captions and background music. The Standard Edition permits free personal use and evaluation, while the paid Professional Edition adds business use and removes the output watermark. Its workflow moves through media selection, effects and video creation.
Choosing the media sequence
Easy Slideshow accepts photos and video clips through drag and drop. The media-selection stage combines a folder browser with previews, while a separate strip holds the images that will appear in the show. Dragging an image within that strip changes its position in the sequence.
View controls switch the browser between a list and thumbnails. Enlarged views display the image order, thumbnails or the selected image at a larger scale.
The selection also supports corrections before editing. The Delete key removes selected images from the slideshow list, and Clear list empties the selection. A Load project control opens an existing slideshow project rather than starting with a new selection. A new-project command starts another slideshow.
Slide settings
Easy Slideshow shows the current slide above its editing controls. You select a slide, then set its display duration in seconds. A stretch setting controls whether the image stretches to fit the screen, and a separate switch enables a blurred background. Apply to all slides transfers the display settings across the sequence.
Captions belong to individual slides. Entering subtitle text adds words to the image, with controls for the font, font size and color. The subtitle editor handles this text within the slideshow, alongside the slide’s display settings and effects.
Choosing transitions
Easy Slideshow supplies more than 200 transition effects, including fades, zooms and sliding animations. You choose an effect from the transition list and set its duration in seconds. The transition duration has its own control, separate from the time that the image remains on screen.
An effect preview shows the selected transition, and a repeat control plays the preview again. The Automatic Effects dialog offers another way to assign transitions. You choose the scope, such as all images, set an effect duration and apply the settings. A separate global command applies one effect to every image.
Background tracks
Easy Slideshow can include MP3 music in the exported video. The background-music control enables the soundtrack and lets you choose an audio file from the computer. The program also accepts multiple music tracks for one slideshow.
An optional repeat setting plays the music repeatedly. Music joins the images and transitions during video creation, so the resulting file contains the visual sequence and its background soundtrack.
Video creation
Easy Slideshow exports MPEG or MP4 video. The creation stage offers resolution choices such as Full HD and 4K, plus custom dimensions. Width and height fields express the video frame in pixels. You also choose the output filename and destination folder before starting the render.
The same stage can save the settings as an Easy Slideshow project. The project retains the setup for later loading, while the video file contains the rendered presentation. A window control also saves the project during editing.
Create Slideshow starts rendering and saves the video to the chosen destination. A progress indicator reports the rendering process, and Cancel stops the operation.
Standard versus Professional
Easy Slideshow separates its usage rights and output marking by edition. Both editions provide the slideshow-making functions.

Professional also removes advertisements. Its private license covers one person on up to two computers, including personal business use. The company license covers up to five users and five computers at the registered company’s location.
