Kingshiper Audio Editor is a Windows program for editing music and voice recordings. It works with selected regions of an audio waveform, letting you remove passages, assemble clips, mix background music and change the sound before exporting an audio file. It also separates singing from instrumental accompaniment, so an existing song can supply either a vocal part or a backing track.
Waveform editing
The waveform shows the recording against a time scale. You can zoom in to work on a smaller passage and use start and end time controls to define the section being edited. Playback lets you listen to that selection before deciding where to cut.
Kingshiper Audio Editor provides different ways to change the arrangement. Cut removes an unwanted passage, while Trim retains the part you want. Copy and Paste reuse selected audio elsewhere. Insert adds another piece of audio or a silent interval, and Replace exchanges a section for different material. Reset returns the audio to its original state when you want to start the edit again.
Background music
Multiple audio tracks can be combined into a single track. The Background Music tool instead mixes sound together so the parts overlap. You select the clip to mix and add another audio clip; the source can also be a different part of the same recording.
For a spoken recording, this allows a music bed to accompany the voice within the resulting audio. For music editing, it can combine sound from separate passages.
Audio processing
Denoise reduces unwanted background sound in a recording. The command named Unmute removes silent passages instead of recovering sound from them. When preparing speech, noise reduction changes the sound within a passage, whereas removing silence shortens gaps between the audible parts.
Volume adjustment raises or lowers the audio level. Fade In and Fade Out change that level gradually at the beginning or end, giving an extracted music clip a rising entrance or a declining ending. Pitch Shift changes the pitch of the audio, while Rate Change adjusts playback speed.
Vocal separation
Kingshiper Audio Editor offers two separation commands with different outputs. Vocals extracts the singing from a music recording, producing an isolated vocal part. Instrumental removes the singing to retain the accompaniment, which can become a backing track for singing or dubbing.
The separated material can then be treated as audio for further editing. For example, a backing passage can be shortened with the waveform tools and given fades, while an extracted vocal can have its volume adjusted.
File formats and Kingshiper Audio Editor Pro
The input formats include MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, WMA and AIFF. Kingshiper Audio Editor also accepts video containers such as MP4 and MOV as sources for audio work. Its output formats are MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, MP2, M4A, AC3 and WMA, allowing the finished edit to be saved in a different audio format from its source.
The free trial allows three exports per day and excludes lossless audio export. Pro removes the daily export limit, enables lossless export and removes advertising. Paid access is available through monthly, annual and lifetime plans, with the first two covering one PC and the lifetime plan covering two PCs.
