PC Tweaker is a Windows settings and maintenance application from Aurelio Avila. It combines system controls, hardware monitoring, diagnostics and cleanup with a history of its changes. A permanent Free plan provides core tools, while optional Pro subscriptions and Lifetime purchases add advanced functions.
Inspect a change before applying it
Each control explains its target and trade-offs. PC Tweaker can preview the registry keys or settings involved, showing their current values and the values it proposes. It records the previous state before applying a supported change. If an operation fails partway, it restores the values that it already changed.
Change history groups operations by day and session, with their before-and-after values. You can undo one change, a session or everything still in effect, and export the history as CSV or JSON. Restoration uses the state PC Tweaker recorded, including whether a registry value originally existed. It cannot reconstruct values that another tool changed before that record.
Settings for different Windows tasks
Controls cover power plans, startup behavior, foreground scheduling, privacy and the Windows interface. For example, file-extension controls change Explorer visibility, while advertising-ID controls affect the current account’s identifier. The diagnostic-data policy requests the lowest level the Windows edition supports; Home and Pro still retain Required diagnostic data.
Startup tools list entries and scheduled tasks with switches for enabling or disabling individual items. Editable Gaming, Study and Work profiles group settings for particular tasks. You review their selections before choosing Apply selected. A profile adds its choices to existing settings; switching profiles does not undo earlier changes.
Game Sessions and processor placement
Pro’s Game Sessions associate settings with a game executable. PC Tweaker applies the gaming preset when the game starts and restores its supported settings afterward. Optional core steering uses Windows CPU sets to direct the game toward particular processor cores.
On an asymmetric AMD X3D layout, steering targets the larger cache domain. Intel Hybrid steering targets the highest efficiency class and can direct eligible background processes toward the remaining classes. PC Tweaker leaves unsupported layouts alone and excludes certain processes from background steering. Recovery checks process identity and later changes before clearing its own CPU sets. These controls do not guarantee higher frame rates.
PC Health, sensors and latency traces
PC Health shows processor activity by core, memory use, disk and network activity, and resource use by application. NVIDIA graphics readings include load, temperature, fan speed and video memory. PC Tweaker identifies missing sensors. Its configuration score summarizes observations; it does not measure gaming performance.
A scan inventories the computer and available tweaks. You can pause, resume or end it; partial results identify checks that did not run. Before-and-after testing repeats measurements and reports a difference only when the result series clearly separate.
The Hardware area also records short kernel traces for DPC and interrupt latency. Results show durations, counts and driver attribution. The report leaves events without a driver match when it cannot identify their source. This diagnostic requires administrator access and changes no settings. Driver tools separately show the inventory and obtain available updates through Windows Update.
Cleanup with separate recovery paths
Temporary-file cleanup can preview items and their sizes before moving them to the Recycle Bin. Checkboxes let you exclude entries. Those files remain recoverable while the bin contains them. Other maintenance operations follow different rules:
- Pro’s large-file and duplicate searches scan a folder, return file results and let you choose entries for removal.
- Application cache cleanup permanently deletes the caches you choose. Applications may rebuild them afterward.
- Selective cookie cleanup copies the browser database before changing it and provides its own restoration procedure.
- Windows integrity checks inspect system components. Pro’s guided repair runs DISM and SFC, with separate recovery limits.
Restore All covers supported setting changes; it does not recover data that cleanup permanently deletes or reverse every repair and driver operation.
Optional Windows apps
Debloat groups optional Windows applications and shows their roles and sizes before removal. You choose the packages, review the confirmation and inspect each removal result. PC Tweaker checks publishers and limits this workflow to the current account.
Removal history provides reinstall links. Reinstalling an application does not restore its data or guarantee the same version. Restoring Windows settings does not reinstall those packages.
Free tools and account access
Free includes core controls, scans, starter profiles, monitoring and supported restoration without an account. Pro adds Game Sessions, advanced controls, guided repair and additional cleanup tools. Lifetime includes Pro functions plus profile comparison and tuning-report export. Paid activation uses a PC Tweaker account, with checkout in a browser. Ending Pro access leaves earlier changes in place and preserves restoration.
