Overview

DRmare Spotify Music Converter is a commercial audio downloader and converter for Windows and macOS, with a limited free trial. It uses an embedded Spotify web player to select content and create local audio files. The program also manages track information, plays its audio output and backs up Spotify library data.

Selecting content in the web player

You sign into a Spotify account within DRmare’s built-in web player, then browse its library and content pages. The input choices cover songs, playlists, albums, artists, podcasts and audiobooks. The current program handles this browsing internally without requiring the Spotify desktop application.

To prepare a batch, drag tracks, playlists or albums onto the green Music icon, or click that icon while browsing. DRmare opens the selection for review. You can remove unwanted tracks before Add to List confirms the entries that enter the conversion queue.

Audio format and encoding controls

DRmare places its output settings in Preferences under Conversion. You choose the audio format there and adjust bitrate, bit depth, sample rate and channel settings. These choices govern the local audio files that the conversion produces.

The output formats comprise:

  • MP3
  • FLAC
  • WAV
  • AIFF
  • M4A
  • M4B

Output quality also depends on the source track’s available resolution.

Processing the conversion list

The Converting tab holds the batch that DRmare will process. Pressing Convert starts downloading and converting its entries to the format you chose. The program supports multiple tracks in the same batch, including entries from albums and playlists.

A duplicate-filtering toggle lets DRmare detect and skip repeated tracks. The selection controls also let you remove individual entries from a bulk playlist before conversion.

After processing, the Converted tab lists the tracks that finished. Its Open Folder control takes you to their location on the computer.

Track information and folder grouping

DRmare carries track information into the files during conversion, including titles, artists, albums and artwork. It embeds ID3 metadata alongside the audio. You can change a title before conversion when the source name does not match the name you want in the local library.

The Edit Tag control in the Converted tab opens the metadata editor for a track after conversion. Changes there update its ID3 information. Folder organization can also group the output by artist or album names. DRmare saves synchronized lyrics alongside tracks as part of the local library output.

Playing the results inside DRmare

The Converted tab also supplies a built-in music player. You select a track from that list to listen to the result within DRmare. A Speed control changes the playback rate.

Backing up the Spotify library

DRmare Spotify Music Converter includes a separate Music Library Backup & Restore function. Its input is the Spotify account’s library structure, including custom playlists, albums that the user saves and track metadata. The program writes that account data to a local snapshot.

The backup icon sits at the top of the main interface. Opening it and choosing Backup Now creates the backup. To restore, you choose Restore beside the target Spotify account, then confirm with the second Restore button. DRmare displays recovery progress as it restores the library. The account’s content then appears in Spotify’s app or web player.

Trial access and computer licenses

The DRmare trial converts only the first thirty seconds of each track. Registration removes that conversion-length restriction. You enter the purchase email and registration code through the Register control to activate a license.

The license choices differ by computer count and billing term:

License group Computers Terms
Individuals One computer Monthly, yearly or lifetime
Family Three computers Monthly or yearly

Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically; the lifetime option uses a single purchase. Windows and Mac licenses cover separate products, so using both platforms requires their respective licenses.
