Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact Review

Chinese developer MiHoYu worked on developing its free-to-play Genshin Impact game between 2017 to 2020. Released in 2020, it allows users to explore different worlds  and upgrade the character’s equipment with newly acquired advanced skills. The game has been well received world wide and has an enthusiastic fanbase that makes it an exciting RPG.

Since its release, the game has earned more than $2 billion dollars. It uses a gacha game mechanics method to monetize game play. This way, users can purchase new weapons and outfits.

In the player party, there are four characters you can choose from. You can rotate the outfits and weapons of these characters. When operating the character, you can swim, run, climb and glide. There are seven worlds to explore. It’s mostly a fighter game, with attacks including Anemo,  Cryo, Dendro, Pyro, Hydro, Electro and Geo. You also can combine the elemental attacks in order to create new ones.

One of the most important gameplay techniques is learning to switch through characters in order to execute the best attacks. The game’s dungeons give you an opportunity to gain rewards. These vary according to the difficulty of the dungeon. These dungeon areas may have minor puzzles or a variety of enemies.

As they play levels and complete missions, users can raise their level. These “Adventure Ranks” help players to unlock new aspects of gameplay, such as housing.

Right now, users can play on PS4 and PS5. It’s also has an upcoming release for the Nintendo Switch.

Its visual style combines artistic anime style and realistic art. The characters look like manga but the scenery and mountainscapes look realistic. More than 23 million users have a Genshin Impact download, with nearly 17 million on mobile.

The plot centers around a team. The main character is “the traveler.” A pair of twins travel across the stars and visit different worlds, but are separated when they arrive in the land of Teyvat. The Traveler is sealed away for 500 years before awakening and meeting Paimon. The duo travel to Mondstadt to start their search for the Traveler’s missing twin, encountering a dragon along the way which attacks the city.

Genshin won Apple’s Best iPhone Game of the Year in 2020. Apple awarded Genshin Impact with “iPhone Game of the Year” in 2020 and 2021. The game also won Google Play’s “Best Game of 2020”. At the TapTap Game Awards, the game won “Game of the Year”.

You can purchase battle passes. The Sojourner’s Battle Pass is free, and players earn rewards every 10 levels. There is also a $10 battle pass, the Gnostic Hymn Battle Pass. This provides users with better upgrades, like Mora, Hero’s Wit, and Mystic Enchantment Ores. It also has all of the same upgrades of the Sojourner’s Battle Pass.

It is continually updated, with new content available about every five to six weeks. Each new launch features new events, weapons, and characters, and they are eagerly anticipated by fans.

The game is 100% playable without any spending.
